About Storebought Oddity
Tarot wasn't very popular in Singapore when I first bought my first tarot deck more than 20 years ago. I remember it well, it was a dusty Middle Earth deck hidden in the dark corner of a bookstore at Bras Basah Complex. I didn't know much about tarot cards back then, but I felt a strong affinity towards the deck. I hurriedly bought the deck and began reading as much about tarot cards as I could, and I found myself completely hooked on the subject.
20 years later, tarot cards have seen a huge spike in popularity. Everybody and their sister have heard of tarot cards in one way or another. Along with podcasts, the pandemic definitely helped many to embrace the surge of tarots, I'm thankful that it's much easier to buy tarot cards in Singapore these days. But still, relish the feeling of purchasing an obscure deck with fantastic artwork. I spend countless hours searching for new and interesting decks, so let me be your oracle for the esoteric.
As a huge fan of tarot cards, I am incredibly excited about the opportunity to start something tarot-related. The feeling of discovering a beautiful deck of tarot cards, getting a new package delivered, unboxing them and - this might sound weird but - inhaling the new card smell is something I really enjoy, and I hope Storebought Oddity can give others the same kind of resources they need to find inspiration.
Storebought Oddity offers a range of products from books to hard-to-find tarot cards, and our aim is to guide people on their spiritual journey and help them find the answers they are looking for, without any judgement or pressure.
